About Metasearx
Metasearx is a privacy-respecting metasearch engine. It aggregates results from multiple search services without tracking or profiling its users. Your queries are not logged against your identity, and no personal profile is built from your activity.
Metasearx is built on SearXNG, free and open-source software released under the AGPL-3.0 license.
Onion (Tor) results
Metasearx can return results from the Tor network (.onion sites) through the
third-party Ahmia index. These results are not hosted,
operated, or controlled by Metasearx. We are an intermediary that surfaces an
external index; we do not store, mirror, or proxy the content of the sites
listed.
Ahmia applies a blacklist to filter known abusive material, including CSAM, and Metasearx enforces this filter on top of its own results. No automated filter is perfect. If you find a result that links to illegal content, please report it using the contact below and it will be removed from our results promptly.
Reporting abuse
To report illegal content, abuse, or a takedown request, contact:
Please include the exact query and the URL or result in question so we can act quickly. We review reports and remove offending results from our index as soon as they are verified.
Privacy
- We do not track users or build search profiles.
- We do not sell or share user data.
- Search results are cached in aggregate to reduce load; the cache is not tied to any individual user.
